LiquidTalent was an on-demand, work anywhere, project listing site where businesses could quickly hire freelancers across various disciplines.

A first-in-class experience with video-first local news, weather, and more on the Apple TV platform for NBC and Telemundo local stations in 29 markets across the United States and Puerto Rico.

The Brief

I met the founders of LiquidTalent in 2014 as freelance clients and helped them adapt their vision a marketplace where businesses, entrepreneurs, and creatives could connect to work together.

The original app was essentially a map that showed where designers were in relation to your location, similar to how Uber shows vehicles to riders.

Starting with that we discussed what the ultimate goal of the app was, what users needed on both the hiring and hired sides, as well as how and where conversations and transactions would happen. 


In 2017 the product team was tasked with creating a native Apple TV experience for NBC and Telemundo local markets.  We focused on what the most important experience would be on the app, consuming video, and went from there.

Animation

Many situations within the app required animation to illustrate to the user that something had happened or to reward an interaction. I created various animation mockups so that developers could translate this to code within the app, here are two examples.
